Lumi is Saudi Arabia's leading mobility and car rental brand. As Lumi scaled its app-install campaigns on Snapchat, the brand hit a measurement problem that was limiting how well the platform could optimize. Pixel-based tracking was missing purchase and install events, leaving Snapchat's AI with an incomplete picture. Journify connected Lumi's backend data to Snapchat through server-side Conversion API delivery, improving match rates, closing the event gap, and giving the platform the signals it needed to find better users at a lower cost.

The problem

As Lumi expanded its digital footprint across Saudi Arabia, Snapchat campaigns were driving real installs that the platform couldn't see. Traditional pixel tracking created data gaps between what Lumi's backend recorded and what Snapchat received. Events were lost before they reached the platform.

When the AI optimizes on incomplete signals, it learns from the wrong buyers. Targeting drifts. Cost per install rises. Budget allocates inefficiently. The issue wasn't the creative or the audience. It was the data feeding the algorithm.

What changed

Journify connected Lumi's backend to Snapchat's Conversion API through server-side infrastructure. Mobile app install and purchase events that were previously lost in the browser now reached Snapchat reliably, hashed and formatted to platform specifications.

Journify's data health layer validated event quality before delivery, enriched identifiers to maximize match rates, and ran deduplication between pixel and server-side sources to 100% match accuracy. No double-counted events. No gaps in the signal. Snapchat's Event Match Quality Score improved, and the platform's AI started learning from a complete picture of Lumi's actual customers.

The results

With cleaner, more complete signals reaching Snapchat, the platform's algorithm found better-fit users more efficiently. Year-on-year, during a low-demand period, Lumi saw:

170% increase in attributed app installs 50% decrease in cost per install

These results came during a period of lower seasonal demand, which makes the performance shift more significant, not less. Better signal quality gave Snapchat's AI what it needed to optimize on real outcomes rather than noisy proxies.

What this means for performance teams

Lumi didn't change its creative strategy or restructure its media budget. It fixed the data layer underneath the campaigns. When Snapchat received complete, validated signals from Lumi's backend, the algorithm had what it needed. The optimization that followed was more accurate, more efficient, and more durable.

Signal quality is not a technical detail. It is the input the AI works from. Get that right, and platform performance follows.
